Any Tips For Replacing an IAC?

I need to replace the IAC solenoid on my 98 Navigator and I was thnking it would be no big deal. Afterall.. it takes about 60 seconds to take the IAC off of my old mustang... Well, I just took a look under the hood of my Navigator and I see that it's going to take me a lot longer than 60 seconds to get that sucker off!

Anybody have any tips on how to get it replaced? The bolts are facing the back and the whole thing is almost under the dash. Looks a lot harder than I expected....

The first time is the hardest. I've done mine a couple times and have it down now. You should have a 1/4" drive socket wrench, a short extension, an universal joint and I think it's a 7mm socket. Don't forget to disconnect the electrical connector from the other side. Just be patient and you'll have it off in no time.

Thanks for the reply Jim. It doesn't stick too often.. only when it gets cold outside... so I've been putting it off. But I'm going to go ahead and tackle it this weekend.
