Would like to activate the daytime running lights on my 2003 Expedition (Eddie Bauer). Looking for the fog lights to be on only. I've seen a few driving around in this configuration but Ford says it's not possible on American models. Anyone have any info on this?

 

Well, they're wrong about it not being possible, since all the Canadian '03 and '04 Expeditions run around with their fog lights on only (acting as day-time running lights). I think the Canadian & American models come from the same assembly line.

It must just be a module and a relay somewhere.

 

That's what I told them. My dealer said it would cost over $300 and I'd have to essentially replace the computer module which would also put everything in kilometers, etc. Just doesn't sound right to me.

 

Previous to the new 2003 Expy, the relay could be purchased and installed. There was a circuit looped wiht a pig tail under the dash. On the passenger side on top of the dash was a tray looking thing that would pop out. Under that, on top of the glove box was a wire that looped back to itself. Remove and plug in the relay and viola.

Have no idea how it's done on the 2003+ Expy thought. Sorry
