I have a 03 EXP, XLT. It has 38000 miles on it and it started making a noise from what sounded like the heater fan housing. I took it to the Ford dealer and they replaced the fan. I picked the truck up and the noise was still there.

They then told me 2-3 hrs later that the air compressor was bad on the truck.

Is this normal? It only has 38k on it and parts of the air conditioning system fail.

Doesn't surprise me. Aluminum body compressors are crap! Read my "Compressor cut-off. . . . " thread in the HVAC section. Some disagree with me, but I'm convinced concretely. What do you think about the idea?
