My '99 Exp. has AWD, is there any way to run it in 2WD if I prefer it? Thanks, Jeff

 

I think you are pretty much stuck with in AWD as the default setting. I too have a 99, but have never had any problem with it living in AWD.

 

All of the 97 - 98 Expy with 4wd had: 2wd, A4wd, 4hi and 4lo on the switch. In 99 most of the expy's did not have the 2wd position on the switch. There are exceptions though. I drove a 99 that had the 2wd position on the switch!! I'm not sure if those are specially ordered or what, but in my opinion, if there are some 99 and up expy's out there with the 2wd option on the switch, you can indeed change yours. I think maybe it could be just the switch, but I am not entirely sure of this. Good luck if you decide to persue this and keep us updated
