I had a misfire a month ago check engine light came on and was blinking.. so I had my friends scanner and it came up misfire in cylinder 1.. so we changed all the plugs because it was around 90k miles. That did the trick for about 2 weeks then I got a misfire from cylinder 7.. changed that plug went away.. then a few days ago I got another misfire from #7. So I changed the spark-plug wires.. hopefully that does the trick seems fine now. But if it misfires again.. I have to check the coils.. Just saying start with the plugs it's the cheapest way.. then work your way up. It cost me 50 bucks for the wires and 2 bucks for each spark plug.. thats worth a shot first. btw I have a 4.6L 97 expy.
