Vizuologic Dual DVD Installed

Nice set up. The leather match is perfect as can be. Install took about 2 hours with me bumbling about. I could do it in about an hour next time. It's nice that the kids can view multiple different sources. It also came with a goofy pre Playstation type game controller that has 30 plus lousy games, but the kids love it.

So for two 7" screens, with two DVD players in the headrests, two wireless headphones, built in FM modulator and a funky game set up, the whole thing was about $1550.00. The big plus for me is that I don't have some drop down monitor blocking the rearview mirrror and I didn't have to cut the factory headrests. Only skinned one knuckle and said just two bad words.

awesome, the only problem i would have with the headrest monitors is that im used to having the factory front seat headrests tilted all the way forward, and i use them to lean back on a lot.
Like this:

But then again, i dont have any kids to watch any monitors in the back yet anyway.

When you say 2 DVD players, does that mean 2 seperate ones? like if you wanted to see the same movie on both, you would have to have 2 disks?

To watch the same movie on both, you just select what source for each unit. You can play a DVD on the drivers and the passenger would select drivers source. You can even play a DVD on the drivers, but select aux input and play a video game on the drivers and the passenger can still view the DVD from the drivers player. Kind of confusing but I hope you get the picture.

The DVD players are in the headrests themselves. The screen pivot out from the top slightly and the disc is then inserted. You can hear the fan, but only when the truck is shut off. BTW with your headrests tilted like that the field of vision should still be okay for viewing.

Dumb question....why didn't you have to cut the factory headrests?
Is it like a sleeve or something??

Been pricing getting a DVD only system with wifi headphone/FM sound choice in our Expy. Self-install sounds pretty cool!

I think his were replacement headrests with the monitors already in them, judging by the way he said the match was perfect.

Sorry for the delay. They are replacement headrests from Vizualogic. The match the leather with leather and the DVD and screens are already installed. Very easy to do.

That's pretty cool!
Our Eddie Bauer has one piece seats though. No adjustable or removable headrests. We'd have to have them cut and installed.

If you have an '03 or newer I think they have a system that uses a new one piece skin. Not sure but check it out at www.vizualogic.com

If you read up in the post it says that the DVD players are in the headrests themselves. The wires pass down through the headrest posts for power and for aux inputs etc. They've been in for a bit now and still are working great.
