What trans/diff fluids

Well...it's about that time that I do the full run down on my truck. What fulids should I use for the truck.

2000 5.4 Eddie Bauer Expo

Run synth. in the engine and and would prefer to do the same with the trans and diff.s What would you suggest for weights? I always live by Mobil, but not stuck on it. Just want something I don't have to special order. ALSO, where is the fill plug for the trans. How much do I put in. How do I know if it's filled. Never did much trans stuff before. Only engine/diff so please let me know any adive. Also, it's the awd with lsd.

Thanks!!!

You add or fill through the tranny dipstick tube. Also since it is a 4x4 there should be a drain plug on the pan. I would suggest that you drop the pan and replace the tranny filter at that time.

He has a 4wd. Most 2000's did not have the 2wd switch on them, just AWD. As a result most '00's did not have the limited slip option. At least that's the way I remember it.

Like I said, I could be wrong, and I usually am, but for some reason I thought it wasn't available with the AWD. My guess is that I am probably getting it mixed up with our current Navi that has the RSC and the Ls is not available.
