Well tonight on the way home from picking up a pizza the tranny began to slip.

After driving around my immediate nieghborhood it totally failed in the forward gears.

It does go backwards just fine. I managed to get it in the driveway.

I just had the tranny flushed a couple of weeks ago by my Ford dealer. Could it be something was not done correctly.

Any ideas? Fluid level is perfect and red but it smelled burnt.

I have the towing package but never towed.

I noticed another post that pretty much said the same thing.

What gives?

SOrry to say it, but its toast. Either the clutches have worn themselves out or you have lost some teeth on one of the gearsets. It happens to them all sooner or later. How many miles have you got on it?

 

The forward clutches are probably kitty hair.

 

It has 33K miles.

I hope not, I'm coming up on 30K in my truck.

Stuff happens. At least Uncle Henry's footing the bill.

 

Regaurdless, its under warranty. Slide on down to ford and pick yurself up another at no charge

 

They prolly put the wrong fluid in it.
