Hey guys...

Old Land Rover guy here that just purchased an 05 Expy EB since the Disco was too small for our new baby - great off-road but don't ever try to put anyone or anything larger than a terrier in the 2nd row. Time to put away the torx and metric wrenches and pull out the standards...

Our Expy EB came equiped with the security system and keypad-keyless entry much like most of the EBs out there. One option I would love to add is the auto start. Tons of the Ford online parts stores have the three different kits available..Just the auto start, Auto start with Security, and the kit with Auto start, security, and keyless entry. Since I have security and keyless entry, what can I do to get auto start running on my truck? Do I need to purchase the 3 feature kit and yank out my old one? What kind of installation time and level are we looking at?

Any info is greatly appreciated......

Actually, you're still going to need both of those.

The easiest one to install is keyless only. And get one with its own remote, cause programming the remote from the keyless to work with the remote is like pulling hairs out of the **** of a bull.

 

It's a shame that the Land Rovers don't have more room.

 

I drove and LR3 and I think the 3rd row is one of the most comfortable out there. It's much bigger than you think.
