[newbie] checking in with 2005 Expedition XLT 4x4

New to the site, just got a 2005 Certified Pre-owned Expedition XLT w / leather 4x4 with 12,xxx miles. Paid 22k, more than I wanted to spend but I got the 6/75k powertrain and 3.9 for 60 since it was a certified pre-owned.

Mods going on:

K&N 63-2556 - just came ups
Magnaflow Catback - shipped but not received.

We are going to use the truck for a winter ski / summer beach turck to haul our friends.

Thoughts on my mods? Anything else to consider? Im not into the stereo thing, I would be interested in picking up a factory NAV unit off of Ebay for 400ish? Would that swap in? I know I would need the GPS antenna, any of you guys do that?

From what ford has told me, if it doesn't come with factory GPS, its going to be a real bitch to get the factory unit wired up (It doesn't match harness wise)

I'd say check the pioneer avic-d1 or the exlipse avn5435 They appear to be the best all around units

Cool, will do.

I just open the box for my K&N and this is more involving than my JLT intake for the cobra or the Halltech TRAP I installed on my C5/Z06.

Hope it is worth it.

Got the intake on, huge difference in low end and sound, sounds like a beast when you stomp on it. The stock airbox was soooo restrictive.

My catback should be here this week and I will post some sound clips.
