2004 and up Expedition lift

I currently have a 2001 Supercrew and love it. However, we have 3 kids and considering having a 4th, gotta have a girl. Anyway, I am considering replacing the Screw with an Expy, but I'm concerned for lack of aftermarket products. I'm looking at the 2007 Expy and love it, but there doesn't seem to be any lift kits for these trucks after 2002. Has anyone heard if there will eventually be one? Or are we talking total custom job here? The Mrs. said if I have to get a new truck, I can get it set up the way I want it, lift, tires, wheels etc.,. Rancho has a lift for the 2006 Tahoe and I figure a lift for the 2007 Tahoe wouldn't be too far behind. The availability of a lift kit may be the deciding factor for me. I don't want anything huge, probably 4-6" just to run some 33s, I'd consider a body lift if there was one available. Any thoughts?

The only kits I know of for the 03-06 Expy's is the 2.5 inch Daystar coil spring spacers and the suspension lift made by Rize Industries. The Rize kit looks awesome, but it is very expensive from what I hear.

As long as you have a big wallet (and with 3 lil uns considering a forth you must, as two aggravate the chit out of me and drain my fun funds quicly) there are ways to do it. Ask big truck, he has done it with a buddy

You guys rock.

Well, you all have done it again. I looked up the Daystar lift and it will be almost perfect. It says that the lift is 2.5, I wanted 3-4, so I can live with 2.5. That plus some 32s and it will work. If I could find a 3" body lift to put on it then it would be perfect for what I want. I called the Rize people and I am sure they are on crack. The want $3999 (no, I did not push one too many 9s) just for the front end system. The rear isn't quite finished yet, so they don't have a price. You have to be kidding me though, they won't sell many at that price, in my opinion. With the Daystar and a body lift I would be just fine and I could throw some 33s on and be donw with it. Anyone know where to get a body lift for it? I tried performance accessories and they don't have one. Thanks for all the help.

I don't think anyone makes a body lift for the 03-06's. Also, you can fit 33's without a lift, with the right wheel. The OEM 265/70-17 tires are a 32x10.50 tire. My 305/45-22's work out to be a 33x12.50-22 tire. My wheels are 9.5 inches wide with 6.785 inches of backspacing. I've seen an 03 with the Daystar lift and 325/60-18 (33x13.00) Nitto Terra Grapplers and it looked good. I don't remember what wheel was used however.

Wandell-

That sounds like what I would do. My problem is I like to have a truck that I don't have to think about. Like 2 weeks ago, we were on the nearby 10,000ft tall volcano and we got hit by a whiteout (yes, snow on a volcano). Anyway, with my Supercrew and my BFG Mud-terrains, I had not a care in the world. I put it in 4LO, drove through most snow drifts and made it home safe and sound. With my expanding family, I want a vehicle that is just as sound. I have had my truck since 2000 and am very nervous of getting something that woun't live up to my Supercrew experience. Now I know an SUV and a truck are different animals, especially with today's watered down trucks. I just want to be able to have a truck that when a blizzard hits like last week, I don't have to worry about getting around in an Expy. That's why I want a bit more ground clearence and room to stuff some BFG muds under it, I'm more of a function guy than a form guy. The 22s with street rated tires are just not me. What other thoughts do you have??

I was just pointing out that you can fit 33's easily. It doesn't matter if they are on 17 or 24 inch wheels. Sounds like the Daystar lift and some 285/70-17 or 285/65-18 BFG MT KMs would be perfect for you. I'd go with an 8 to 9 inch wide wheel.

Sounds like plan. As usual, thanks for the help. We are still trying to decide on the when to have the new little one. I can get a great deal on a new 2007 before we come back to the states. The dealer here is supposed to have the new info in April or May. I'll keep you all posted.
