Replacement Mach sub size

Is it possible to modify the area for an 8" sub to fit? I am assuming it is a 6.5" sub like the JBL unit that was in my '94 Tbird. We can enlarge the opening to allow it to fit. I haven't had the time to remove the unit to see, but no bass is starting to annoy me.

Assuming you're talking about the cargo area sub, it is an 8" unit. I converted mine to a 10" by modifying the box, but MTX makes a 10 replacement unit specifically for it.

I am talking about the one in the rear cargo area. Hmm would have thought it would have been a 6.5" like the JBL sub was in my 94 Tbird SC. Guy has/had a nib JL Audio 8w0 for sale for $50.00 I was thinking of picking up.

I don't believe the space in that stock box will accomodate the JL.
