98 5.4 Tranny Question

Hello

I have a 98 Exp. lots of good miles! I noticed when backing up a grade that tranny is slipping badly, but going forward is no problem? Could it be the Torque Converter?

If it were the TC, it would also do it in forward gears.

Check your fluid level first using th

e proper procedure.

Hello Steve

It may be slipping in forward gears, but not as bad? Also the fluid level on dip stick is at correct level? Am I missing something? Thanks for you help.
