Lowering Rear Air suspension

I have a 2000 Expy with rear air suspension. I would like to lower the vehicle about 2" - 3".
I have read that there is some sort of adjustment sensor that you can change to lower rear end? I know that I can lower the front by changing the coil springs.
Does this method hurt the suspension?
What other methods are used?

Thanks

I wouldn't take it 2 or 3 inches, but yes, on the drivers side of the rear axle there is a small sensor that looks like a small shock absorber. Loosen the nut on the bottom and move the bottom UP to lower the vehicle. Do it liberally in small increments and drive in between to make sure you don't screw it up and scrub. Remember, at like 60MPH the air ride lowers itself for aerodynamic reasons, so you don't want to be cruising at 70 or more MPH and it start scrubbing.

And you can do the same in the front, assuming it has air up front too.
