Got our 'new' Expedition!

Thanks for everyone's input on my quest for our Expedition upgrade. ExpyBob, I'm sorry to hear about the misfortunes that you had with your 2004, it must have been a Friday afternoon job. However, I did use your list of troubles as a bit of a checklist.

We ended up with a 2004 Eddie Bauer that came with a clean bill of health and 3 years on the extended warranty. She's got about 65K on her, with a good chunk of that highway mileage. Body is nice and dent free, and she's had all her regular maintenance.

Dealer replaced the backup sensor & the driver's heated seat element. Tires are fairly new, Dueller something? This rig drives like a dream, especially compared to the 2000.

For options, it appears to have pretty much everything, including SatNav. I wouldn't have specced SatNav as an option, but it is an interesting toy and will be useful for my wife. Rear end axle code is "16", which means an open 3:73. This truck has AdvanceTrac, which means you can't use a LS.

One thing I haven't discovered yet: where does the bloody blockheater cord live? On my 2000, and on the 2003 EB's, it was in the lower grill / valance...
It is getting down to subzero here this weekend!

Thanks!

Thanks for the blockheater cord help, as it turned out the wire extension (part 'A' in the diagram) was missing. Dealer tried to charge us $34 for it, but that didn't quite work...
