Question Did Ford Offer Factory Sub in Expedition?

I was wondering if Ford ever offered a factory sub in the 2004 Eddie Bauer Expeditions? If so, has anyone ever added it to it? I currently have the crapy CD/cassette player ( original owner opted out of the 6 disc changer) but was wondering if the wiring might be there already and where it might mount. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My 05 Exp has one in the drivers side third seat. It has the 6 dish in dash/mp3 player.

999, do you know if it can be added, or if the wiring might be there by chance?

With the 05 F150 you needed to get the Audiophile head unit and the factory sub. I ont see why it would be any different.

Don't all Eddie Bauer's already come with the Audiophile stereo? I don't think it was listed as a separate item on my 2004's window sticker that was in the console when we got the truck, and I'm fairly certain there is a subwoofer behind that grill in the back drivers side (beside the 3rd row). My EB has the NAV, with a 6 CD changer in the console.

The 2004 Eddie Bauer came standard with Audiophile. The cassette player was only offered as an option. What kind of idiot would opt for the cassette player over the standard Audiophile????

The wiring harness for the sub should still be there. Pull out the head unit and you should see the sub-woofer connector taped to the side of the head unit wiring harness. The other end of the sub-woofer harness would be behind the false panel on the driver's side by the 3rd row seat.

To use the harness, you'll need to buy the Audiophile head unit and the Audiphile sub-woofer. You could also install an after-market head unit & sub-woofer.

Wink

Thanks for the reply. How does the head unit come out? Do you know of any aftermaket subwoofers that would work in the factory location? Thanks for the help.
