Looking at a 2003 Expo Eddie. 5.4 with 20,000 miles. Just wondering if there is any horror stories out there to be afraid of. Had a F-150 with 5.4 and blew a plug and don't want to go thru that again. Thanks in advance. Jesse

 

IIRC, the head on the engine was redesigned in 2003 with extra thread holes to keep the plugs where they belong.

 

i had all 8 replaced at 74k just to be safe. they tend to go between 75k-80k. i just had them switched again a few weeks ago, but that was for a different reason!!!(see sig)
