Brake light question!!!

Brake light question!!!

the brake light in my 2000 expedition has been on for a few days now,what could be the problem??,i bought the expedition used and never got an owners maual,i have checked fuses and they are good from what i see,ALL input very much appreciated!

I know it sounds stupid, but there is a float in the master cylinder reservoir. If it's a little low, the light will come on.

It's either the level float switch (low fluid) or your e-brake pedal switch is stuck in the ON position.

Owner's manuals can be downloaded for free from www.fleet.ford.com under the heading of MAINTENANCE.
