Howling from the rear diff

I get a weird, subtle howling sound from my '04 EB Expedition which I believe comes from the rear of the truck.
It only seems to do it between 55 mph and about 65 mph. When I let off the throttle (letting the truck coast), the sound stops. As soon as I get on the throttle, the sound comes back. Do I have a major problem in the making here?
