roof rattle...

I have a 99 expedition with 2 12" MTX thunder 5500s. And I have this serious rattle inbetween my roof and the roof panel...it sounds like a piece of metal inbetween the two just rattling like crazy...I have removed my roof rack and I have even stuffed towels in my ceiling vents to see if that would mute it lol. Has anyone else had this problem? or even know how to fix it? =D

I've had minor rattle issues with both my '06 & '07 Expeditions. They both seemed to come from the sunroof. Not sure if that applies in your case or not. My '98 Expedition didn't have a sunroof and I don't remember any rattles from the headliner/roof area.

Better yet, crank it up a little louder until said rattle disappears.
