Glazed Head Lights Housings-98's Exp & F-150's
I would like to clear up my aero headlights on my 98 Exp. Hopefully without replacing both of the headlight housings.
Does any one have a recommendation for a product that could deglaze the plastic housings on these vehicles.
Was looking over some chemical items in J.C. Whitney, but nothing seems to be available.
Have a happy Thanksgiving (where applicable)

what ive done on my f150 and my buddys f250 when they have gotten that dull haze look to them is grab a mothers powerball mini and some meguiars plastic cleaner and polish. It doesnt clean them up to like brand new standards but does a very nice job at getting rid of the haze look to them.

I wet sand them.
-First some 1000.
-Then some 1500.
-I guess you could do some 2000 to smooth them out further, but I didn't.
-Rinse the area.
-Get some rubbing compound and rub it in for 5 mins with a terry cloth. I had some TW compound lying around, so I just used that.
-Then, I applied some Plastic X and rubbed it in, nothing extensive.
-Lastly, I rubbed in some #26 Megs wax, though I'm sure any wax would do, let it haze, then wiped it off.
Did that to my roommate's Mustang and they've stayed clear ever since. Found this solution on Wikihow, but I guess someone deleted it cus it's not there anymore. Maybe I should post it back up.
Also, the solution called for 1500 grit only, but I discovered it didn't remove enough oxidation, so I just jumped down to 1000, then just used the 1500 to "polish" up.
Hope this helps someone?

I wouldn't touch the heads with ANY Sandpaper if I were you...
I've used this stuff on my work trucks lights before and it worked great.
