I have a 98 Expy that when it is running the starer kick in. Can anyone out there hepl my before i take it to a dealer.

 

Just offhand, it sounds like something in the ignition switch giving a false signal to the relay.

Does the key fully return to the ON position after starting?

Do you have a remote start feature that may be getting flaky?

Long shot - May have a starter bendix problem where the spring has failed or has gotten weak, not keeping the starter drive fully retracted. Can you tell if the starter motor is energized versus just a gear-knashing sound?

 

Its a newer starter, the only thing I can tell is that i have a leaky windshield, that leaks over the fuse box and over the night the battery drains aswell.
