Darn seatbelt warning chime!!!!!!

I have had Fords all my life and NEVER had an issue with disabling the darn chime but this 05 Ex. WILL NOT let me disable it!!! I have went over and over the sequence for close to a year now every time it pizzes me off but it WON'T disable!!!!! Sitting at the damn drive through at the bank today i took my seatbelt off to get my wallet out and the dinger starts in the whole time i was waiting for the bank to finish my transaction!!!! Can i cut wires and hook them together or something?? I am so sick of this garbage!!! The dealer has no clue WTF is going on!!!

One would think you could "CLOSE" the circuit to the seatbelt warning sensor. I have never done it, BUT, have contemplated it many, MANY TIMES.

I would hate for you to cut a wire and the airbag deploy or something. LOL

Sorry I don't have a more helpful answer. That rigamoro they run you through to turn that junk off is annoying. I just wonder if they do it to make us feel stupid. LOL Good Luck!

On my 2002, you can just hit the belt release button when the chime is going off and that stops it, at least till you open the door or turn off the engine.

I love that. I also have an 02. It actually becomes a habit. I get in, start the engine and immediately hit the seat belt release button. As minor as this is, it's one of my favorite features.
