anybody have any pointers on installing the oem rear dvd player/screen in an 04 EB expedition that didn't come with it? are there mounts under the headliner? is there a harness up there?

 

Our 04 XLT Sport came with the DVD player but I really don't want to rip the headliner apart to see whats back there. You would think there would be mounts for the player. I think your best bet is to go to the dealership parts counter and have them look up the diagram for the rear seat entertainment center. They should be able to tell you needed info. (what bolts to use, which harness) Some dealers are more helpful than others... If you bring in the VIN they might be able to see if yours has the wiring harness for it already, seeing that it is an Eddie Bauer I would think it should. Wish you luck!

 

Did you ever get the info you needed? I'm looking to add a Factory overhead DVD system to my 04 Expy EB. Not sure what i need.

 

Most stereo shops can give you the info you will need.
