I am trading my chrome for painted and getting my cousin to paint em up for me. He is a body man and is gonna work em in so it shouldn't cost anything for the bumpers and grill. Once I get my svt front end that won't be cheap but this will accomplish what I want for now.

yes that is the ultimate goal. i really like the looks of this SVT Expedition and is what id like to end up wiht!

ok, not much to report on... i STILL havent gotten with the guy to swap out my front bumpers, and my paint guy still hasnt gotten to my parts yet, but i did find the last mirror cover i needed on ebay for 5 dollars and got those swapped out today. much better i think!

and while i was working something popped in my mind. the chrome on the side strips looks SO BAD i thought to myself, just pull the side trim off, and fill in the line up holes with those little push pins used for trim. it will look better than that nasty chrome, and will be easy to replace if one breaks. so i pulled the trim off the doors and to my suprise, there were NO LINE UP HOLES on my doors!!!

so a little work with an eraser thing and some rubbing compound achieved this.

still not as pretty as having it repainted, but looks a lot better than that ugly chrome that was on there and better than the trim pin things would have looked! what a pleasant surprise!

more in time... lol
