got a little more done this weekend. sorry for the crappy cell phone pics...

got the running boards off... as soon as i have the extra money, i am going to order some LEDs from superbrightleds.com and wire them into the running board wires so i will have some light when walking up to the truck and when the doors are open.



also, i pulled the roof rack cross bars. i liked the way that turned out so i didnt bother taking the tracks off.


and since i am waiting on my paint guy to do my bumpers and grill, i decided to take matters into my own hands with the rear bumper. this is a temporary fix until my guy can get to putting some real paint down, but i think it turned out ok... for rattle can.
notice i also pulled the tailgate emblems. i am going to use some of those push pin trim things to fill in the gaps for now.


i popped one of the side emblems off, and not only do they have those two line up holes, they also have this huge honkin hole right in the middle that i am just not sure if i could find anything to fill it in and look ok, so i put the emblem back on. if it happens to fall off, i am going to try and find a fender mounted turn signal to put on there...

 

i told ya too take off the cross bars it looks hella clean, i know my truck is an 05 i had the 05/06 roof rack but it didn't have cross bars and i picked up an 03/04 roof rack with cross bars for $50 so i couldn't pass it up and i removed the rack completely but it looked funny but without the cross bars and just the two strips it looks good.

without the running boards it looks way cleaner, you should paint your emblems black and on the tailgate paint the keyhole in the center black, then tint your tails

 

Looks good. Now wash that brake dust off!
