Post My Booming Expy

My 99 Expy has a booming driveline vibration that started at 7k miles at 68-72 MPH. It got worse as the spectrum moved to 55MPH-85MPH. The dealer added a vibration damper to the rear axle and changed the drive shaft to the single cardon kind found on the LLS models. That took care of 90% of it. Now at 25K miles its coming back little by little. I'm afraid after its out of warrenty I'll get stuck with a real problem. I noticed ford has issued another TSB since I had mine fixed in 9/99. Its 99157 and also possibly 12572 as well as 99-13125.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE SAY??????

Especially the first one. Could one of you ford technicians look it up or relate your experiences here???

This is the only real problem I've had (so far).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I know there are many people affected by this. The damper fix was originally for F150s.

I also posted this under drivetrain topics.

Thanks Bob

I forgot to mention this seems to be related to the harmonic resonance spoken about in the bullet proof transmision article.
