Dome, Running Board, etc. lights stay on

I'm not sure if this is a problem with my Expy or not, but when I leave my rear gate or rear window open for an extended period of time, the dome lights, running board lights, etc. stay on indefinately. Anyone know how to shut them off when leaving the rear gate open? Maybe I missed something in the owners manual but I'm not sure?
Thanks,
JC

I use a straight screwdriver to "flip" the latch in the door- fooling the X into thinking that it is closed. Just be sure to "open" the door with the handle before trying to actually close it. Works great at the drive-in theater.
Also, any time any of the doors are opened & closed, the "lights out" timer is reset. If you were to open the liftgate and walk away for an hour, the lights should be off when you return.
