Question Factory Fog/Driving lights

My Exp. has the factory installed fog/driving lights which are totally useless. Anyone have any ideas on replacements. I'm interested in different bulbs or replacment using existing holes in the bumper where the stock lights are located. Had KC's mounted on brush bar on my '97 and really miss the light output. The factory units put out less light than the low beams. What a waste of money.

I thought that you couldn't change the bulb in the fog lights on 99-2000 models. Something about beeing to hot and melting the reflective material behind the bulb.
I could be wrong! And if I am let me know the number to get a hold of these. I know the stock one's suck.

Cool

You can go with a higher wattage bulb in the fog lamps. I have some 9005 60watt bulbs and haven't had any problems. I haven't heard any F150 owners complain on "melting" assemblies, but I heard it's happened in other vehicles.
Also PIAA just came out with a new airdam for the Fords. They hold two 6" round lights and supposed to have mounting tabs for two smaller lights for the inside. I have one on backorder (4-6 weeks). The retail for $225.00. You can go with some Hella 6" round lights too; just in case you don't want to spend too much $$ on the PIAA lights.
