I have just purchased a 1997 Expy. I absolutely love this vehicle, but the batteries in the remote did not work, so I replaced the batteries and now I need to know how to reprogram the remote. Please any suggestions?

 

Replacing the battery shouldn't cause it to loose it's codes. Maybe the problem wasn't the battery after all...

 

I found out how to do it. When you replace the batteries sometimes, not always, you will lose the codes, you just need to cycle the ignition, on and off, five times, until your locks cycle, up and down. Leave the key in the on position and then hit any button on your remote. You are then all set and reprogrammed. It worked great. :-)
