does anyone know if the 18" lightning wheels can be used on expeditions. clearance? thanks in advance.

 

They will fit but you have to modify the brakeline attachment bracket. As is, the bracket will gouge the rims. You'll have to bend the bracket back and file the sharp corner on the bottom edge of the bracket. Not difficult.
I have SVO wheels with 285/60/18 and they fit fine after fixing the brake line bracket. I also lowered the front with Eibach springs. Handles and rides much better with wider track and lower center of gravity.

 

thanks for the info. how much did you lower the front? did you lower the rear at all?

 

Lowered the front 1 1/2" with Eibach springs. didn't have to do anything to the rear since I have LLS. I just adjusted the rear height sensor. Now rides and handles much better since I've lowered the center of gravity and widened the track. The Michelins provided a lot of improvement.
