Question rear load leveling

Quick question, is rear load leveling included in the tow package and can it be adjusted? I'm a little confused

Well in 1999 the LLS was an option with or without tow package. Might have changed though. Ford will change options some times.
Like I don't know if they give the 3.73 unless you have the towpackage. I love the 3.73 gears but most come with 3.55's.

Yes it adjust it's self when the rear sags from load. And supposed to drop in the front when the trans is in park.

Now the normal height still can be adjusted from the height sensor, but I'll let the people that have done that answer how.

It is included with the tow package in 98 and it's self adjusting. Place a heavy load in the rear and the air pump under the hood turns on to raise the vehicle back to it original height. This is how it works on my 98, I'm not sure if they have changed anything on the newer Expeditions.

My $0.02

Thumbs up

In 2000 it was included with the tow package. I htink geographic market may have something to do with it as well.

Also, until 2001, 3.31 was standard rear gear and that's what most I've seen came with. When I got mine, it was a hot peice with tow package and 3.55. However, 2001 blew it for my "special" config. 2001 3.55 is standard and I don't think you can even get 3.31 anymore. You can check the Ford website and do the "built you truck" thing. That's how I bought mine.

I have a 2000 with the Tow package, but it did not include load leveling suspension parts. I bought it in Mass.

I need to add somehting as towing my race car trailer is not optimal for a load leveling standpoint. The truck has plenty of power, but the rear sags too much.

Are there any suggested aftermarket options???

There are aftermarket airbag packages that you can purchase. They are easy to install and can be deflated to only a couple of pounds pressure when the truck is unloaded.

BTW - I have a 99 with tow package and air suspension but they were separate options.
