Talking Got new pics of the Expy!

Got some new pics of my Expy now that I've added Lightning Rims and Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. Personally the difference is far better than stock and the appearance is great. Gets looks all the time.

Very nice looking truck. Ever think about lowering it or maybe lightning ground effects. Now that would really look bad a$$

Copy-cat!!!!!! j/k When I did my "Thunder" conversion a year ago, I'd seen it on several trucks on the 'net.

Looks good!!!

Is your truck silver? The pics are probably coming in over-exposed on my monitor, so it looks almost white.

I need to get some new pics of mine up on my website. I installed the color-keyed, lighted step rails and they look awesome on the Expy. Very clean and give it a look that it has ground-effects. Personally, I would have some Lightning-type ground effects done, but I have two little kids.

Is yours a 4wd? Looks like it sits a bit higher than my 2wd.

Thanks for the comments guys. First off mine is a 4wd and it is Silver. I doubt I'll ever take off the running boards or change them at all, I like them too much. And as far as lowering goes it is just too fun running stuff over when I'm out on the town and need to get places other people just can't go.

Hey Wes, I'm not a copy cat mine has billet grills! j/k Wish I had your toys but since I'm only 20 I'll just have to wait till I'm out of school too really start going crazy with modifications and maybe then I'll get a Lightning.

Thumbs up

Great Looking truck ThunderExpy!!! I hope to get a Lightning front for my 2000 Expy EB 4x4. Where did you get yours?

Hey - WA 2 FST, what are the color keyed lighted step rails you mentioned, sounds like what I've been looking for.

Filmcan,

Got a couple of pics of them up on my website, or you can go directly to the Expy page at http://hometown.aol.com/wa2fst/Expy.html

Anyway, the color-keyed ones have more of a subtle contour to them compared to the OEM lighted boards. It's a direct-swap. Super easy...took me about an hour to do the entire job. They come with the lights already wired up.

Filmcan,
I got the parts from my local dealer. I had a few more parts to get than you will have too because mine is a 97'. You should be able to get away with just getting a lightning front fascia and lower grill. You should already have a color-keyed upper surround but you'll need to get a new upper grill insert too match the lightning lower grill. And then there are the fog lights and a few brackets to hold them in. There is a topic out there by Thunder, he did this too his 97' EB and he has a list of parts that are needed, which some you don't need. I took a printout with me to the dealer and they cut me a deal on the parts based on what I had on the printout I got from Thunder.

Thanks for the responses Wa 2 Fst and Thunderexpy, I will check out your web site Wa 2 Fst when I get home, we have restrictions on or computers at work, can't bring your page up, but at least this works.

Hope my Expy looks as good as yours someday.
