Hey, I notice that you have a SUPERCHIP in your exp. Is it worth the money??? What improvements have you noticed?? My brother just sold his 98 f150 with the 5.4L and kept his superchip. He said he'd give it to me for my 99 4x4 EXP if I wanted it. I know I would more than likely have to have it reprogrammed.. My question is do you know if it would work, how much to have it reprogrammed, and is it even worth my trouble to bother with it. My 99 EB edition is completely stock, with the .373 rear-end and towing package. Thanks for your comments

I know you asked FamilyRide but here is my $0.02.

I like mine! It really improved the shifting and corrected my speedo. Truck also seems to have more power on the highway.

I agree. A huge improvement.

AS for the chip you've got, post in Computer Chips for Mike Troyer. You'll need to call him for pricing because he's not allowed to discuss on the boards and I'm not sure how to to reflash. A new one is $225 I believe.

You'll need the ECM (computer) code from your's. It's inside the passanger door by the hinge. It's 4 digits and is on a white sticker about 1" by 1.5".

Like Ian said, the shifts are much better, I mean MUCH! And it runs so much stronger. Don't expect it to run like a Lightning but it's so much more enjoyable to drive. But get ready for the Premium fuel cost! I think it's more than worth it though.
