Question Helping a friend: Any NEW 2000 Expeditions left?

A friend of mine is interested in an Expedition and I told him if he could find a NEW 2000 model,he'd be able to get a GREAT deal on it.......So I was wondering if anyone knows of any dealers that still have a 2000 Expedition available? Thanks for the help fellas!

Thumbs up

There was a dealer her in Dallas advertising a few 2000's left but that was a couple months ago.

Forget a 2000. You can get a 2001 for just as good a deal. I saw a post where someone got a 2001 EB for not much more than I got mine for on the A Plan. Several dealers are blowing them out.

Wait, I remember. Middelkof Ford in Plano has a pretty big inventory and are blowing there 2001's out now!!! He should be able to get a 38K MSRP for about 32k or so. I think they were saying $7500 off all 2001 Eddie Bauers. I'm sure that included the $1500 rebate but that's not bad.

Good luck!

Although I would go with a Navigator taking in consideration the incentives they have right now, if he wants an Expy...check out Prestige Ford in Garland...they had a huge radio ad today about selling over 1000 cars in May as their goal and them having 3300 vehicles IN STOCK. Give em a shot.

Prestige in garland is supposed to have the largest inventory in the SW US. http://www.prestigegarland.com/Welcome.htm
I almost drove 4 hours there to buy mine, but a local dealer was able to get what I wanted at a good price ($35k and some change out the door, paid of my 97 F-150 SC and ESP warrenty at dealer price.)
I saw some 00 on their site, but if 01's are still at .9% why not get one? I got mine when the .9% went to 60 months and dealers were clearing their lot for the '0's.

Our local dealer: www.okcautocollection.com does not lit any 00's, but 01's are at about the same price as mine 6 months ago.

Tell your friend to go buy a '01 nav. With 0% financing why would you use your own money. They are also still paying the first months payment . I know our dealer up here still has one or two '00 left for the expys but remember every dealer sells even '01 expys for below invoice anyhow. They usually won't take a loss on any new vehicle when it concerns a private sale. Most of the time they just prefer to auction it. Not to mention that you are buying a new-one year old vehicle so unless you keep it forever you will never gain back the one years lost depreciation. buy a nav, wish I would've.
