Question Tire Pressure

I've noticed the door panel on my 01 Expedition states the PSI for my Goodyear RTS 255/70R16 tires is 30 front and 35 rear. Is anyone running them at that pressure?

My dealer returned the Expy after servicing showing 35 psi in all tires, although a later pressure check indicated they did not check the tire pressure as the fronts still had the 30 psi.

Yes I run mine at that psi, but I have LT tires on my X. I Wouldn't run any lower than 30 on the front or rear. I have no complaints with that psi.

I would run the pressure set by Ford if you are running the tires that came with the truck. Once you change tires, go by the tire manufacturer's data. Ford has no idea what Michelin, Dunlop or Bridgestone tires need to be inflated to.

Our vehicles run on light-truck tires. The manufacturer of these tires know what type of vehicles these tires will be purchased for, and have a tire pressure range that will meet most of our needs.

Call some tire stores and ask for yourself if you don't believe me.
