I think there are only two body "styles" of Expedition. The old one is '97 & '98 where the front grill & bumper are straight across. In the '99 and newer models, the grill "dips" down into the bumper.
Fog lights have been available on 4x4s (only) since '97.

Nomo is correct on the front end look.
The fog lights were an option on my 99.
Running boards came different on 00's and up if you got the Sport group package. These looked like nerf bars. (correct me if I messed this one up)

Fogs are optional on 2 wd EB or XLT, standard on EB.
The front end did change a little. As for the interior and drive train, a few there too. Realtime fuel milage got canned for 2000 with onboard computer. 2001 EB got Homelink. '99 got the Performance Improved heads, thus 260 HP vs. 235 hp. Brakes were greatly improved from '97. Prop bar for 3rd seat was optional until 2000 when it became standard. 2000 EB got the Arizona Beige running boards. Oh ya, I think 2000 was the first year for double sun visors
Off the top of my head that's all I can come up with for now.

dbunch5, I took a guess at that one. The salesman that "took my order" talked about them like they were some new revelation.
nomo, I think you're right. It wasn't available as an option, but you could buy it from Ford though. They wanted $100 for it.
Man, I wondered about cargo nets! My Jeep had one and it was great. It looks like the Expy has the pegs for one but I can't find where Ford even sells one. I'm bummed! Oh well, I'll go pout while I hit that 5.4 with the PI heads

On '00 and '01 they don't have an antenna fot the radio. Also as of '00 the arm rests are gone for a bigger center console.
One other thing is that I went to test drive 3 new Expys today and all 3 had problems. 1st one had no power, I mean no power. When I tried to pass a car on the interstate, the thing wouldn't downshift or go above 3000rpms. It was stuck at 60 mph and I could only get it to go faster by gently giving it gas. 2nd had brake vib problems, and the 3nd didn't have as much power as the 2nd but the idle was rough only at a dead stop, not in park. Made my teeth rattle. Don't really know what to do because I'm planning on getting another fullsize SUV, which I'd hope to be another Expy but maybe not now, this weekend.

I fotgot about the antenna. They have one but not an arial. It's in the passenger side rear quarter glass. With the EB you can adjust the antenna. Ok so it's the power rear quarter glass but it does appear to adjust the antenna.

Wow! I've learned a lot today. My '99 EB has the double visors and fog lights. I bought it about a month ago, so I don't know if those were options or part of a package. It's a definite upgrade over the Kia Sportage the wife was driving. She's now happier and I do get to drive it once in awhile.
