Anyone thought about saving the $$s on the tank fillups and putting an octane booster like 104+ or something like that in there?

Be carefull with those octane boosters. When they say that it will boost up to 6 points it means .6 not 6. Therefore if you put it in a tank of 87 it will be 87.6 not 93. I would say the only use for octane booster is if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere, towing a heavy load and get a tank of crap gas it might get you to a good gas station with a little less pinging.
