Hello everyone I'm new to this site but i have searched all over for the answer to my question...I'm looking to put a lightning grill and bumper on my 97 expedition and I need to know what all I need other than the grill shell and bumper cover to do the swap or is just a bolt on swap....

you need a 99-03 grille surround and the lightning grille, you need the 99-03 bumper and brackets and the lightning bumper cover, i also think you need the 99-03 header panel

 

yeah thats what my main question was about weither or not I need the newer header panel and what bumper to go under the cover.....beacause on ebay the sell the lightning cover and it say its for 97-02 expys

 

also if I buy the newer bumper all I need is the chrome part correct the part that bolts to the frame

 

yeah i think that's all you need, but i've read somewhere that you don't need the newer header panel you can reuse the panel you have right now

will do I think detailed info on this swap would be great seems alot of people want or have this swap the 97-98 grill and bumper arent much to look at lol any of you guys wouldnt happen to know the part #s for the bumper cover mounting brackets and were I could get them and aprox price

 

I saw a post the other day on here, some one is updating a 97/98 to a 99. It would be the same with going to a lightning. I think it may have been Raptor????

right but he went with a hd valance so he had no need for the brackets I'm looking for they bolt inplace of the upper and lower valance
