4WD light on - low oil???

So like, I got under the Expy snooping around(more to plan an exhaust system though), and I noticed fluid film on the transfer case, looking like it's leaking from the tailshaft seal. Is it possible that the oil/fluid level is low enough to make the light come on? What kind of oil does the transfer case use?

Regardless, I'll hafta pull the driveshaft and swap that seal out. Pretty straightforward, ain't it?

Transfer case uses ATF.

Okay, thanks!

So, would the 4x4 light come on if it was low of ATF?
