177,000 miles . 1997 f150 4x4 4.6L big tires and all. I havent had any problems with this truck except the things I have broken myself or the routine stuff-PCV hose, clutch fan, idler pulley, battery, and just put a starter on it last week finally. The only major work I have had to do was a trnny rebuild at 140k, and a front drivetrain rebuild at 155k. But both were self inflicted. What can I say, Lets Get A Little Mud On The Tires!!! But seriously, this truck is good for at least another 50 to 75k if not more. The motor runs like an absolute dream.

I work for a company that has only F150's and Exp. We have a truck with original motor and trans that has 313k. Its a 97 F150 Lariat 4.6L. It amazes me it still runs. The tranny shifts a little funny, but it has done that since 60k.

I have 247,000, original engine and trans.

On my 97 Expedition, 2WD, 5.4. I have 247,000 miles, with original engine and trans. Lots of freeway driving. Synthetic oil and trans fluid. It runs today as good as when I bought with 80,000 miles in 2000.
