Question Who has the most miles?

I have 90,000 so far on my 1997 Expedition XLT. I was going to buy a 1997 Silver XLT with 77K miles but began to wonder that the car doesnt have much life left. What do you guys think, will the Expedition survive for 50K more? Its a 4.6.

I have a '97 XLT and i have racked up 120,000 miles. and not a problem one. I would bet that the silver '97 you spoke of would be fine if its a good buy (price).

I just hit 103,000 and it still drives strong. Mine had 60k on it when I got it, so I can't compare it to new.

I have 118,000 on my '97, 5.4, 2WD, 3.73. Runs great, but burns a quart of oil every 3000 miles. Had to replace an O2 sensor. Still on the original spark plugs and no ignition problems that I can notice (I am delaying that horrible spark plug change job until I really have to---and a Ford dealer mechanic that I know also recommended the same thing).

Just hit 120k on my 97 5.4L 2WD. No major problems since I bought it with 80k miles. The previous owner had to replace the oxygen sensors. I had the common PCV hose problem and need to charge the A/C about once a year, but that's it.

Anyone want to buy this? I'm looking to sell it soon. Located in Tampa, FL.

169,000 on my '98 5.4L 4WD!

She burns no oil, smokes, or anything! But the maintenance costs are starting to build .... just had to replace the Radiator due to a pin-hole leak.

149K 97 5.4 XLT 2wd No problems that have required a trip to the dealer to repair other than the normal crappy rearwiper motors fixed under warranty, it needs another one now.
Have had the typical 5.4 codes that I fixed with help of the engine board.

We have been happy with it, and would buy one again but we dont need something that big now.
Now if it had the Lightning engine and suspension in it, what fun that would be.

how do you average 19mpg? I have a 4x4 99 Expy and it doesn't get anywhere near that for intown stop and go. Freeway at 70 I'll get 16mpg... The only way I can get that is I am going down hill and have it locked at 50mph....

oh yea, I have 96,000miles and theprevious owner did some things just to keep up on maintenance...He did the 100,000 tune up at 80,000 miles.... SO he was ahead of the game. So now my dog and I are enjoying it other than the gas mileage and this egr light I have to fix.... I'll find it...

I have kept up pretty good with my truck. I have a superchip, drop in k & n filter, water pump (the supposed cobra r) and electric fan. The combination of them put together has really increased the MPG as well as power.

Damn, I thought all vehicles these days were electric fan. How much did that run you?

I have a 2003 expedition XLT with 4.6 liter motor 42000 miles now. I average about 12 around town and the best I ever did highway was 17 MPG. What was the best highway mileage you got with your 1999 expedition after all the mods (supership and k/n filter)

I don't remember how much the fan was off the top of my head. I have the JDM Electric fan kit. I know you can do it cheaper buying the parts and doing it yourself. We had a driveway party one year before FFW here in houston and I had it done then. I did all the mods around 59k miles and could not be happier.

I do alot of traveling to Lousiana coast from Houston. My absolute best MPG during the winter with AC off and cruise set on 70 with a tail wind I have gotten 25 MPG but I have only done the twice. But if I have alot of stop and go traffic the MPG goes down quickly.
