Airaid Air Filter
Just an FYI on upgraded intake systems...
I've been running the Airaid for almost two years, and am still pleased with the upgrade. To make a long story short, I damaged my K&N filter on the Airaid (no Ride, not while I was cleaning it!! ). After speaking with Airaid, they informed me I have a choice between a K&N replacement and an Airaid replacement. Both are around $40, with the Airaid a few bucks more.
When asked about the differences between the, Airaid stated their filter was a 5-layer filter versus the 4-layer K&N. So, I figured why not? More layers, more filtering. When it comes time to clean it, it uses the same K&N recharging kit.
Installed in this past weekend with no problems. I'm anxious to see how it goes in the long run.
Anyone else using them?
