Loud noise in the steering
Seems that everytime I turning sharply either to park or back out I get a loud pop from somewhere in the steering linkage. Also now when braking quickly I hear a pop out of the left front wheel.
Tommorrow it goes back to the dealer for the 35.9K repair list, however the steering problem will be visit 4. So far both inner and outer tie rods and the pitman arm have been replaced. After the last visit 2 1/2 weeks ago the story was that there are mechanical stops on the linkage and it needed lubrication (a special Ford Graphite grease?) which it was quiet for 10 days or so.
Anyone else have this problem? I also have my "just about out of warranty" bitch list of seat covers, steering wheel cover and etc.
One last thing, I found that AutoZone carries the Silvania SilverStar headlight bulbs for $24.99. I'm gonna grab a pair and give it a shot. Everything I read on other forums love 'em as a cheap way out from a full HID upgrade.

noise in steering
had the same problem, found it to be the front limited slip clutches were too tight, when turning the wheel sharp at slow driving speeds, like parking,i could here the loud thump or knock.
my friend is a mechanic and told me to put some GM (general motors) limited slip differential additive in the front end. after about two weeks of driving the sound is almost gone...
