2000 Expedition clicking...Help!

I have a 2000 expedition. At various times, there is a clicking sound coming from behind the glove box area. It doesn't have air suspension. This noise sounds like the old electric fuel pumps that use to be under the hood. It usually last about 5 sec and can happen anytime that you are in the vehicle. the last time it happened, my wife just sat in the drivers seat and closed the door. She had not put the key in the ignition yet. The Dealer could not duplicate the problem....naturally. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Don

No seriously, I'm not sure about the xpy but, is the turnsignal 'clicker' mounted in that area? Any chance that could be it?
