They're very similar, but they have some differences. To begin, the Navi has a 3 valve head and the engine makes 300 HP, and the tranny is balanced for smoother ride. the frame is the same, but the suspension is different. Almost the same car, built on the same line, but a few upgrades for the Navi.

Thumbs up

navigator has a 4 valve engine.
im sure you know that.
you probably just hit the wrong button.

just wanted to set it straight with everyone.

also we have 3:73 gears and for some reason the navigators handle a lot better.

They are as identical as the:

Ranger/B-4000

Cavalier/Sunfire

Camaro/Firechicken

Taurus/Sable

and so on.

So what is different? Some engine modifications (at least 95% common components between 2valve 5.4 and 4 valve 5.4) Different suspensions, body panels and interior trim.

Overall, I would there is a 80 to 90% overlap in parts and components between the two trucks.

i am not saying that they are different.
they are set up exactly the same.

however go drive an expy then a navigator and then the expy again.

there is a difference.

the times i have driven mine and had to take my moms expy to go get something to work on mine it is hard to drive.
i am use to being able to drive like on air.

they are both very nice trucks.

I'm sure the options and other things you pick make a big difference too. MY 98 expy with pi heads, headers, x pipe and duals, holley blower, rear lls, upgraded wheels and tires (22's with toyo tires) 3.73 rear axle with limited slip, and a few other details, is just as nice as any navi, and about 7-10k cheaper too
