stupid questions
couple of questions here.
1) my friend wants me to powerbrake my expy. would this do any visible wear to the wheels? or any crap on the wheel well?
and 2) my other friend has a 97 f150 4.6 litre extended cab. he says A) its got 270 hp stock cuz it has the same engine as the mustang GT (bs flag at half staff right now) B) he can spin the tires like crazy from a stop (bs flag is deciding whether to go up or down) he says that i could do it better cuz i got more weight on my rear tires and i have a bigger engine. is this true? im just wondering

that truck wont spin tire because more than likely it has a limited slip axle.
not 100% positive but pretty sure.
the expy will spin tire cause i am used to my AWD so i just get on it everytime.
when i was getting mine painted i had to drive my moms for 2 days and i caught tire everytime i pulled off.
stock it only has 260hp. not 270.
wheels may not where but tires will.....
oh his engine only had 220-230hp stock
5.4 has 260...
not the same engine as the GT.
good luck with your power breaking....

The mustang and truck both have a 4.6 block, but that's it. The mustang has different heads, intake, injectors etc. Mustang also has a different tranny.
By this logic, a 5.0 mustang had the same engine as a 302 pickup in the '80's.
Also keep in mind that even if they were the same engine, the truck intake is set up to achieve peak HP/torque at lower RPM's for hauling/towing.
I also challenge that the Mustang GT is 270 HP. I dont recall a GT 4.6 being rated that high. Unless this has changed in 2001 or newer GT's.
