Look at this and tell me what you think?...
It looks to me like the front wheel is pushed forward, when its on those larger rims... I would be that pic is photoshopped, because its the only pic that is not on a ride outside in the parking lot.

My guess would be that they wouldn't be much more then a boulevard cruiser. I think 24" wheels would require something like 40 or 35 aspect ratio tires which wouldn't be much good at protecting the wheel (or passangers backside) from a pothole at speed on a 5500 lb truck. You also must consider weight when looking at these massive wheels. I belive the weight of the OEM 265/70-17 wheel tire combo weigh quite a bit less then many of these super size wheel do, even before you mount the tires on them. This increase in unsprung weight can bring problems beyond that of the simple 'will it fit / will it rub'

My advice would be to leave the 22s 23s & 24s to the show trucks and boulevard cruisers. A real daily driver, even one that doesn't venture off-road, shouldn't be handicapped and needs to be able to actually survive a trip down a bumpy road or a rail road crossing at speed.

BTW, keeping your tire pressure at the correct levels is very important, even more so when you are dealing with low profile tires that hold less volume of air.

Rollin' on Dubs-

Well, I'm rolling on dubs, and have been since January in my truck and since April in my Expy.

My trucks have been down the mean streets of Dallas, and the pot-hole strewn interstate through Louisiana, at speeds up to- well, let's just say a radar detector is a good thing.

Anyhoo, I agree with some of what Petrol said. Once you move up to 22's, you better pre-plan your route to minize bump exposure- Every Expy/Navi/Escali rolling on dubble-dubs, or twanky-fours have been 305/35/22, or 305/45/ 22 305/35/24's etc..

That leaves very little meat to protect that rim on a bump. Plus, it gives the truck a "Stage Coach" look if you will. I don't mind the big wheels, but I like big tires too. I also heard that strapping on some run-flats may help protect the wheel once you go into the 22-24 range.

I have 275/55/20's on both my trucks- No problems with the wheels, yet... Next step, 305/50/20's... Although the aspect ratio will be lower in number, because it's based on a width of 305 instead of 275, my sidewall thickness will actually increase from 151.25mm to 152.5mm.

Also- I have Centerline Avengers on my Supercrew- it is a forged aluminum wheel, that is actually 2 lbs lighter than the stock Ford 16" wheel, and is a stronger wheel. Therefore, it reduced the unsprung weight on the truck. My Expy has AR / Vanguards, which turned out to be 14 oz. heavier than the stock 17's.
If I noticed anything, it was a smoother ride than factory- even though I have taller wheels with thinner sidewalls.....

Go figure....

Ok, i saw an 03 X-EB (red) at the gas station tonight.
it was rolling on some aftermarket KMC 20s.
the guy driving it said that he took it to discount and asked what they had that fit it, and they brought out a six lug wheel and bolted it up and it fit, he did not know if it was a chevy 6lug wheel or not, but he said it fit and it looks nice to me so i had them mounted up.
