Awhile back I seen a topic on the sideview mirrors, the ones with the turn signals in them having a "fading" problem. Almost where the mirror begins to turn black. Someone said that there was a TSB on this matter????

My folks have a 1999 Expy w/ 17k and its factory warranty is about 30 days from expiring.....and I want to know if this can be taken care of by FORD.


Also is there anything else they should know of before they take it in (1) last time before the warranty expires....????

Yes, I had mine replaced twice under warranty.
Original mirrors spotted after 8 months.
Second set spotted after 10 months.
Current mirrors are clear and are 21 months old.

 

Anyone happen to know the TSB # off hand.........I just want to make sure I have all the ammo I can before I call the service dept.

it says replace both mirrors. good luck.
