General Grabber Recall

Family-------- Did you replace your tires on your own, or did the dealership do it? Reason I ask is that if you went to the dealership and had Ford replace them, Ford went with a different tire size (little larger and narrower I think). Anyway, a spare of one size and a regular running tire of another size might cause a problem if you have to use the spare. Although use of the spare I assume would be short term and may not be that big a deal.
expy69--------I did replace all 4 tires on my truck before the recall was known. I had a tire go oh so bad on me. Anyway, I went with the same size that Ford went with on the replacements. I did not however even think about the spare.
I had to take the truck in (per Cont tire) for a bs reason that Ford had laid down. I think it was a misunderstanding as the recall had been announced only a day before I called. Anyway, when I had the truck in the shop, Ford replaced that tire for free. I wanted to get it done so that all of the tires would be the same size (not the same model tire, but it is a spare).
Anyway, had I replaced my spare when I replaced all of the others, Ford/Cont would pay for that 5th tire at the 110 per tire as well.
Hope this hepls.
